Sermon: “Nothing is Too Hard for God!”
Bible Verse: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.” (Jeremiah 32:17)

“Can I get a ‘Glory to God!’ this morning?”
“Somebody shout ‘NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR MY GOD!'”

 Introduction :

In Jeremiah 32, the nation of Judah was collapsing. Jerusalem was surrounded by Babylonian armies, the people were starving, and the prophet Jeremiah himself was imprisoned in the king’s courtyard. To the natural eye, all hope was lost—the land was doomed. Yet, in this moment of despair, God instructed Jeremiah to do something absurd: “Buy a field.” While others saw ruin, God saw restoration. This act of purchasing land in a war zone was not a financial investment—it was a radical declaration of faith. It shouted, “Nothing is too hard for God!”

Jeremiah’s prayer in verse 17 reveals how to face our impossibilities:

  1. RECOGNIZE God’s Power – “You made the heavens and earth” – The God who crafted galaxies still holds your crisis.
  2. RECALL God’s Faithfulness – Remember His past miracles. For Israel, it was the Exodus; for us, it’s the cross.
  3. RELEASE Your Faith – If He parted seas and raised the dead, why doubt He can redeem your“impossible”?

This week, many of us faced walls that felt insurmountable:

  • The single mom choosing between rent and groceries, wondering if God sees her.
  • The couple told by doctors, “You’ll never conceive,” their dreams crumbling.
  • The student staring at failure, fearing their future is ruined.

But hear this: Our God is not limited by human logic, medical reports, or bank accounts. Jesus said it plainly: “With men this is impossible, but with God ALL things are possible!” (Matthew 19:26). Today, your impossibility is God’s invitation to trust Him deeper.

  1. GOD’S POWER IS GREATER THAN YOUR PROBLEM

Jeremiah’s declaration, “You made the heavens and the earth by Your great power” (Jeremiah 32:17), reminds us that the God we serve is not limited by the laws of nature, human logic, or earthly systems. Creation itself is proof of His limitless power. He spoke galaxies into existence, carved mountains, and breathed life into dust. If He can craft the universe, He can handle your crisis.

Consider the Red Sea in Exodus 14. Pharaoh’s army chased Israel into what seemed like a dead end. But God didn’t just solve their problem—He rewrote the rules of physics. The sea split, the ground dried, and Israel walked through on foot. What looks like a “dead end” to us is a divine setup to Him.

Here’s the kicker: That same power lives in you! Romans 8:11 declares, “The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you.” The resurrection power that shattered death’s grip now fuels your faith.

So what’s your “Red Sea”?

  • A diagnosis that feels final?
  • A relationship beyond repair?
  • A financial pit with no escape?

Stop measuring the problem—measure your God!
The Red Sea was no match for His power, and neither is your struggle. Stop praying, “God, if You can…”and start declaring, “God, since You can!” Your problem is not bigger than the Creator. Today, let His power redefine your impossible.

  1. GOD’S PROMISES OVERRIDE IMPOSSIBILITIES

When God speaks a promise, it carries creative power to dismantle impossibility. Abraham and Sarah understood this. At 100 and 90 years old, their bodies were “as good as dead” (Romans 4:19), yet God declared, “You will have a son” (Genesis 18:10). Human logic screamed, “No way!” But Abraham chose faith over facts: “He did not waver… but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Their story proves God’s promises activate miracles where biology says “no.”

Consider the desperate widow in 2 Kings 4. Her husband died, leaving crushing debt, and creditors threatened to enslave her sons. All she had was a jar of oil. But Elisha prophesied, “Go, borrow vessels… and pour oil into all of them” (2 Kings 4:3). She obeyed, and the oil multiplied until every vessel was filled—enough to pay her debts and live in abundance. Her breakthrough began when she acted on God’s promise, even when it defied reason.

This is why Mary’s angelic visitation matters: “No word from God will ever fail” (Luke 1:37). The Greek word for “fail” (adynateó) means “to be impossible.” In other words, God’s promises cancel the very concept of impossibility!

Application: What “dead” situation are you facing?

  1. Find Your Promise – Search Scripture for God’s covenant over your struggle:
    • Need healing? Claim Isaiah 53:5: “By His wounds, we are healed.”
    • Financial crisis? Stand on Philippians 4:19: “God will supply all your needs.”
  2. Declare It Daily – Like Abraham, “call things that are not as though they were” (Romans 4:17).
  3. Act in Faith – The widow gathered jars before the oil flowed. What step is God asking you to take?

God’s promises are not suggestions—they are divine decrees. Stand on them and watch impossibility bow to His Word!

  1. GOD’S PURPOSE REQUIRES YOUR PARTICIPATION

God’s promises are not passive—they demand active faith. Jeremiah bought a field in the middle of a war (Jeremiah 32:9-15). Imagine the ridicule: “Why invest in a doomed land?” But his obedience declared, “I trust God’s promise over my circumstances!” Similarly, David didn’t defeat Goliath by accident. He picked up five stones (1 Samuel 17:40), preparing for victory before the battle even began. Faith without action is like a car without fuel—it goes nowhere. James 2:26 warns, “Faith without works is dead.”

God’s purpose for your life isn’t a spectator sport. He invites you to co-labor with Him (1 Corinthians 3:9).

  • Jeremiah’s field teaches us: Obedience in the impossible unlocks God’s provision.
  • David’s stones remind us: Preparation precedes breakthrough.

So what step is God asking YOU to take today?

  • Forgive that person who hurt you?
  • Start that ministry, business, or difficult conversation?
  • Give sacrificially, even when funds are tight?

Don’t wait for a miracle—participate in one! God could have parted the Red Sea without Moses’ staff, but He required Moses to “stretch out his hand” (Exodus 14:16). Your action doesn’t earn God’s power—it demonstrates your trust in it.

Challenge: Write down one step of faith God is prompting you to take this week. Then DO IT. Like Jeremiah buying the field, your obedience today plants seeds for God’s promises to flourish tomorrow. Faith works!

Self-Examination:

This week, when difficulties arose, did your heart default to the problem or the Problem-Solver? It’s easy to fixate on the storm—the unpaid bills, the broken relationship, the unanswered prayers—but faith shifts our gaze to the God who walks on water.

Ask yourself:

  1. Did I feed fear or faith? Fear replays worst-case scenarios; faith rehearses God’s promises. Every moment spent worrying is a vote of no confidence in God’s power.
  2. Did my prayers sound like “God, if You can…” or “God, since You can…”? The enemy wants you to doubt God’s ability, but Jesus said, “All things are possible to him who believes!” (Mark 9:23). Your prayer language reveals your heart’s posture.

Jeremiah 32:17 isn’t just a nice verse—it’s a battle cry. If God crafted the universe, your “impossible” is a footnote in His story of redemption.

Challenge:

  • Write down 3 “impossible” situations (e.g., a prodigal child, a chronic illness, a shattered dream).
  • Pray Jeremiah 32:17 over them daily“Lord, nothing is too hard for You! You made the heavens and earth—rewrite this story!”
  • Act in faith: Like the widow gathering jars (2 Kings 4), take one practical step this week that aligns with your belief in God’s power.

Faith isn’t ignoring reality—it’s redefining reality by God’s Word. Stop negotiating with doubt. Start declaring, “My God can!”

Conclusion:

Jeremiah bought a field in a war zone because he knew this unshakable truth: NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD! His obedience wasn’t just a transaction—it was a testimony that God’s promises outlive every crisis. Imagine the whispers of doubt as Jeremiah signed the deed: “Why waste money on a battlefield?” Yet his act screamed louder than the chaos: “My God is greater than this moment!” That field became a prophetic landmark, shouting to generations: Faith in God’s Word turns hopelessness into heritage.

Church, hear this:

  • That sickness? NOT TOO HARD for the God who healed lepers with a touch (Luke 17:14) and raised Lazarus from decay (John 11:44)! Cancer cells bow to His name.
  • That addiction? NOT TOO HARD for the God who shattered Paul’s chains without human hands (Acts 16:26)! His voice can break cycles of shame in an instant.
  • That broken marriage? NOT TOO HARD for the God who resurrected dead relationships like Hosea and Gomer’s (Hosea 3:1)! He specializes in rebuilding altars from ashes.
  • That financial crisis? NOT TOO HARD for the God who multiplied loaves (Matthew 14:20) and funneled ravens to feed Elijah (1 Kings 17:6)! His economy defies recessions.

This is your “Jeremiah moment.” The same God who asked, “Is anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27) is stirring your spirit to answer: “NO, LORD!” Your “impossible” is His invitation to rewrite your story.

Think of the impossible He’s already conquered:

  • For Israel, it was slavery; He split a sea.
  • For David, it was Goliath; He toppled a giant.
  • For Mary, it was a virgin birth; He clothed Himself in flesh.

What’s your Red Sea? Your Goliath? Your empty tomb? The God who triumphed then is the same God today (Hebrews 13:8). Your crisis is His canvas to paint a miracle.

Altar Call:
“If you’re ready to stop doubting and start declaring, come forward now! Bring your ‘impossibles’—the medical report, the divorce papers, the empty wallet, the shattered dream—and lay them at the altar. This is not surrender; this is warfare! As you kneel here, shout with me: ‘NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR MY GOD!’

Maybe you’ve prayed for years with no breakthrough. Maybe you’ve buried hope. Today, resurrect it! Like Jeremiah buying that field, your step forward is a prophetic act. That sickness? God says, ‘I am your healer.’ That addiction? God says, ‘I am your deliverer.’ That debt? God says, ‘I am your provider.’

If you’re ready to trade fear for faith, come! Let the tears fall, let the shouts rise—this altar is your battlefield. The God who split seas and shook tombs is here, and He’s saying, ‘Watch Me work!’”

Benediction Prayer:
“Father, we leave here today with fire in our bones and faith in our hearts! We declare that no sickness, no debt, no addiction, no brokenness can withstand Your power. Forgive us for the times we’ve doubted, for the moments we’ve shrunk back. Break every chain of unbelief! Ignite us with holy boldness to proclaim Your might in the streets, in our homes, in our workplaces.

Lord, as we go, let our lives scream, ‘MY GOD DOES IMPOSSIBILITIES!’ May our marriages radiate restoration, our wallets testify to provision, our bodies showcase healing, and our joy silence the enemy’s lies. Equip us to carry this truth: You are the God of Jeremiah’s field, of Lazarus’ tomb, of the widow’s oil—and You are STILL the God of miracles today. Send us out as living, breathing proof that NOTHING—NO situation, no stronghold, no darkness—IS TOO HARD FOR YOU! In Jesus’ conquering name, AMEN!”

Final:
“Now go! Tell the devil his lies are worthless. Tell your neighbours your God is unstoppable. Tell your fears they’re outmatched. And as you go, LIVE like you believe it—pray boldly, give generously, love recklessly! Let your life be a billboard for God’s power. When coworkers ask why you’re so hopeful, point them to Jeremiah 32:17. When friends question your peace, declare, ‘MY GOD CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE!’

This week, someone needs to see your faith in action. So go shake your world, church! And remember: The same God who said, ‘Let there be light,’ is breathing LIFE into YOUR impossible. Now run—your miracle is waiting!”

God bless you abundantly.
