“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

When life gives you tangerines, thank God anyway—He’s still writing a sweeter story.

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we envision. Sometimes the dreams we held so tightly change, or the doors we prayed would open stay closed. We’re left holding something different—something smaller, quieter, more unexpected. But friend, just because it’s not what you imagined doesn’t mean it’s not good. Sometimes God gives us tangerines instead of the grand banquet we envisioned—but those tangerines are filled with sweetness, purpose, and provision.

God’s gifts may look different, but they’re never second best. He knows what we need far more than we do. What feels like a detour is often divine redirection. What seems “less than” is actually preparation for something greater than. So praise Him in the unexpected. Rejoice in the reroute. Trust that He’s working all things—even the small things—together for your good.

Hold your tangerines with joy. Because even in this, God is blessing you.

Declaration:
I will trust God even when life looks different than I planned. I know His gifts are always good. I declare that even the small things are sacred, and the detours are full of divine purpose. I am thankful. I am hopeful. I am blessed.

Prayer: Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every gift—seen and unseen, expected and unexpected. Teach me to embrace Your plans, even when they look different from mine. Help me to see the sweetness in small blessings and the purpose in every pause. Let my heart overflow with gratitude, even when life surprises me. Strengthen my trust, deepen my faith, and remind me that You never make mistakes. Thank You for loving me enough to give me what I truly need, not just what I want. I receive Your peace and joy today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God bless you abundantly.
Keep your eyes on Him—He never withholds what is good.
