The Year of Step Up.

Scripture: Isaiah 43:18–19; Philippians 3:13–14; Joshua 1:9

Isaiah 43:18–19

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Philippians 3:13–14

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Joshua 1:9

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

As we step into this new season, God is calling us higher. The Year of Step Up is not about rushing ahead in our own strength, but responding in faith to God’s invitation to move forward with courage and obedience. Isaiah 43 reminds us not to dwell on the former things—what failed, what hurt, or what delayed us. God declares, “See, I am doing a new thing!” Even in dry places, He is making a way. Your past does not define your future; God’s promise does.

Paul echoes this truth in Philippians 3. He chose to forget what was behind and strain toward what was ahead, pressing on toward the prize God had set before him. Stepping up often means letting go—of fear, regret, comfort zones, and even good things that no longer align with God’s best. Growth requires focus, endurance, and trust that God is leading you forward for a purpose.

Joshua 1:9 gives us the posture for this year: strength and courage. God does not promise an easy path, but He promises His presence. Wherever you go, whatever you face, the Lord your God is with you. When fear whispers “stay where you are,” God speaks, “Step up—I am with you.”

Let this be a year where you rise in faith, obedience, and expectancy. God is not finished with you. What He has placed in your heart is still alive, and this is the season to move forward boldly.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for the new thing You are doing in my life. Give me the courage to let go of the past and the faith to step into all You have prepared for me. Strengthen my heart, guide my steps, and help me trust You completely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration:This is my Year of Step Up. I move forward in faith, courage, and obedience. God is making a way for me, and I will press on toward His purpose for my life.

Declaration: I declare that this is my Year of STEP UP. I move forward in faith, strengthened by God, guided by His presence, and confident in His promises. I will not shrink back—I will rise.

The Year of STEP UP

No looking back. No fear holding me down. God is doing something new—and I’m moving forward in faith. God bless you abundantly.
