First Response: Prayer
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
In every circumstance—whether it brings joy or uncertainty—let prayer be your first response, not your last resort. Too often we turn to people, plans, or panic before we turn to God. But He invites us to come to Him first, with hearts open and hands lifted.
When we pray first, we align our hearts with God’s perspective. Prayer brings peace in the storm, strength in weakness, and guidance in confusion. It doesn’t have to be long or perfect; it just needs to be honest and surrendered. Make it a habit to start your day, face your challenges, and end your evening with prayer.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to seek You first in all things. Let prayer be my instinct and not my backup plan. Thank You for always being near and for listening when I call. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection:
What would change in your day if you paused to pray first before reacting?
God bless you abundantly.
