Sunday Sermon: Week of Great Miracles (This Month of New Resources)

Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 9:10  “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”

21 September 2025

Introduction

Beloved in Christ, we welcome this new week with thanksgiving, knowing it is a week of great miracles. God has spoken to us through His word in 2 Corinthians 9:10 that He not only gives us seeds to sow, but He also multiplies what we sow, increases it, and ensures we reap abundantly. This is not just about financial blessings; it covers every area of life—health, family, ministry, and resources. When God entrusts us with seed, He expects us to sow with faith. As we sow, He releases miracles that exceed our expectations.

This month has been declared a month of new resources. God is opening new channels, new opportunities, and new supply lines we never imagined. Just as He provided manna in the wilderness, water from the rock, and multiplied the five loaves and two fish, He is still the God of miracles. This week marks a turnaround point where your little will become much, your barrenness will become fruitful, and your emptiness will overflow. As we dive into the Word, prepare yourself to believe and receive, for this is your week of great miracles and abundant supply.

1: God the Supplier of Seeds

The scripture begins with the assurance that God is the supplier of seed to the sower. This means that whatever we have today originates from Him. The resources, talents, and even opportunities we encounter are God’s divine provisions entrusted into our hands. A sower understands the value of seed—you don’t eat the seed, you plant it for a future harvest. In the same way, God expects us to treat His resources with wisdom, not as consumption alone but as investment for eternal and earthly returns.

Many times, people complain of not having enough. But the truth is, God has already supplied something. He never leaves His children empty-handed. Even the widow of Zarephath had a little oil in her jar. The boy had five loaves and two fish. Moses had a rod in his hand. God always begins with what we already carry. The miracle happens not when we hoard or fearfully protect our seed, but when we release it into the ground of faith.

This week, recognize that God has put seeds into your hands—words, prayers, giving, service, and skills. As you sow them, great miracles will manifest. The seed from God will not fail, because He watches over His Word to fulfil it.

 2: The Principle of Increase

The second assurance in this scripture is that God not only supplies seed but multiplies it. Increase is a divine principle that belongs to His children. When you sow a single seed, God multiplies it into a plant that brings forth fruit, and each fruit contains more seeds. This cycle of multiplication is a reflection of His miraculous power.

Many fear loss when they give or when they release what is in their hand. But the principle of God’s kingdom is this: when you release, you gain; when you hoard, you stagnate. Proverbs 11:24 explains: “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” God’s mathematics is not like human mathematics. One seed can become a hundredfold because His hand is on it.

This week, as we position ourselves for new resources, we must activate the principle of increase by sowing in faith and with joy. Whether it is kindness, finances, prayer, or acts of service, God is able to turn it into abundance. The God who multiplied the five loaves and two fish in the hands of Jesus is still the same. If you will surrender your seed, He will multiply it into your miracle.

 3: Enlarged Harvest of Righteousness

The scripture concludes by assuring us that God will “enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” This statement reminds us that God’s miracle is not just about material gain. The multiplication He releases carries eternal values, producing spiritual fruit that pleases Him. Righteousness is the root; the harvest of righteousness is the fruit.

When you live by faith, obedience, and integrity, your life becomes fertile ground for heaven’s multiplication. Others may look for shortcuts, manipulation, or harmful means to gain wealth, but their harvest will be shallow. Our call today is to allow God to work in us so that our increase aligns with His will. When the harvest of righteousness is enlarged, God’s glory is revealed through our testimony, generosity, holiness, and good works.

This week of great miracles is not just for your lifting but also for kingdom impact. As He blesses you, your life becomes a testimony that draws others to Christ. That is the greater miracle—the harvest of souls through your faithful witness. Remember, true multiplication enriches your spirit and leaves a legacy of righteousness that continues to bless generations to come.

 4: Miracles in New Resources

This month of new resources reminds us that God never runs out of supply. He is the source of both seen and unseen resources. In Scripture, we see unexpected channels of provision: ravens feeding Elijah, supernatural manna for Israel, and gold from a fish’s mouth for Peter. These creative miracles show that God can use unusual means to meet needs.

New resources represent fresh opportunities, wisdom, knowledge, and relationships that God is bringing into your life. Perhaps you have been depending on one channel of provision, but God wants to open new doors. Isaiah 43:19 declares: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

This week, be sensitive to new opportunities God is presenting. It may come as a new job offer, new wisdom for business, unexpected financial favor, or new relationships that unlock destiny. Remember, miracles are not only supernatural interventions but also God’s divine alignment of resources for your breakthrough. Prepare yourself, be diligent, and walk in faith, for your time of new resources and miracles has come.

This Week Declaration

This week, I declare I shall walk in the abundance of God’s supply. My seed shall not fail, and my harvest will overflow. I receive divine resources, wisdom, and opportunities. Every closed door is opening, and every dry land is springing forth with new rivers. My life will manifest miracles that will glorify God. Nothing shall limit my increase this week. I declare joy, peace, health, and supernatural provisions over my household. I am blessed to be a blessing, and this week, my miracle testimony shall be evident for all to see, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

This Week Reflection

As we reflect on 2 Corinthians 9:10, let us remember that every blessing begins with a seed. God supplies it, He multiplies it, and He enlarges its harvest. Miracles do not happen in emptiness; they happen when faith takes a step to sow what God has provided. This week, let your reflection be on identifying the seeds in your life: your time, words, relationships, skills, or finances. Surrender them into God’s hands and believe in His miraculous increase. Your part is to sow faithfully; God’s part is to multiply. Miracle testimonies are birthed in simple acts of faith, obedience, and trust.

Self Examination

As we step into this week of great miracles, let us take time to examine ourselves carefully. Ask: Have I recognized the seeds God has already placed in my life? Have I been faithful in sowing, or have I withheld out of fear? Miracles require faith, and faith requires action. If God has given me resources, am I using them to glorify Him or merely to satisfy my own desires?

Self-examination means aligning our motives with God’s will. Are my actions producing a harvest of righteousness? Do I bless others with my words and deeds, or am I hoarding blessings for myself? Remember, the seed you sow determines the harvest you reap. Check your generosity, your prayer life, and your obedience. You cannot expect a miracle harvest if you never allow God to work through you.

This week, reflect deeply: Am I prepared to let go and sow in faith? Am I ready to see God multiply, even when I do not understand the process? Let your heart be open, and trust that when you sow righteousness, your harvest will overflow in both spiritual and physical blessings.

Conclusion

This week’s Word reminds us of the unfailing truth: God supplies, multiplies, and enlarges. We are never without seed, we are never hopeless, and we are never beyond God’s miraculous reach. Our responsibility is to recognize the seed He has given, to sow in faith, and to trust Him with the harvest. When we embrace this principle, miracles become a natural flow in our lives.

The month of new resources is not just about money or material wealth. It is about God opening new streams of provision where there were none, enlarging opportunities, and empowering us for kingdom impact. Our testimony will not only speak of God’s blessing but also of His righteousness shining through us.

Today, stand firm in the assurance that God has already gone ahead of you this week. Expect His miracles, because He who gives seed to the sower and bread for food is faithful to multiply and supply abundantly. Amen.
