“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:18-19
Sometimes, God closes doors not to punish us, but to push us into the next chapter of our journey. We often grow comfortable in the familiar, even if it’s no longer fruitful. But God, in His infinite wisdom, knows when it’s time for you to move forward. Closed doors can feel painful, but they are often divine redirections meant to position you for greater purpose and blessing.
If a door has recently shut in your life—a relationship, a job, an opportunity—take heart. God never removes something without the intention to replace or upgrade it with His best. What feels like a setback is often the very thing that propels you into your calling.
Prayer: Father, thank You for being a God who lovingly closes doors when it’s time to move. Help me to trust Your plan even when I don’t understand it. I surrender my past and open my heart to the new things You are doing. Lead me forward in faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection: What door has recently closed in your life? Could it be God’s way of making space for something new? Trust Him—He is always working for your good.
God bless you abundantly.
