Holy Saturday—the day between the crucifixion and the resurrection—is often marked by silence, waiting, and uncertainty. For the disciples, it must have felt like all hope was lost. Jesus had died. Their dreams seemed buried. Heaven was quiet.
But what they couldn’t see was that God was still working behind the scenes.
Even when heaven is silent, God is never still. While the world mourned, Jesus was defeating sin, death, and the grave. The silence of Saturday was not a sign of abandonment—it was preparation for resurrection. Just because we can’t hear or see Him doesn’t mean He’s not moving.
If you’re in a season of waiting, if your prayers seem unanswered, take heart. God does some of His greatest work in the silence. The tomb was not the end. Resurrection was coming.
Scripture:
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to You in the mighty name of Jesus.thank You for being near even when I can’t feel You. In the quiet and waiting, help me to trust that You are still at work. I choose faith over fear and stillness over striving. Prepare my heart for resurrection joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration for Today: Even in the silence, I believe God is working. Resurrection is coming!
God bless you abundantly.
