“You are the God who sees me.”
Genesis 16:13
There’s something sacred about being seen—truly, deeply seen. In a world that often rushes past pain and overlooks the silent sufferer, God introduces Himself to us in the most intimate way—as El Roi, the God who sees.
When Hagar fled into the wilderness, feeling used, abandoned, and forgotten, God met her there—not with judgment, but with compassion. And in that divine encounter, she called Him El Roi, because she realized: even here, even now, I am seen by God.
Maybe today you feel overlooked—like your effort, your pain, your waiting doesn’t matter. But friend, you are not invisible to God. He sees every sleepless night, every silent tear, every weary step. He knows what you carry and what you’ve buried. Not one detail of your life is missed by Him.
You don’t have to shout to get His attention. You already have it.
God sees the woman holding her family together, the man carrying unseen burdens, the child longing for comfort. He sees you—fully, tenderly, lovingly.
When the world fails to notice, God does. When no one checks in, He never leaves. You are not forgotten. You are fully seen, deeply loved, and held in His care.
Prayer :Lord, thank You for seeing me. When I feel invisible to others, remind me that I am never hidden from You. You know my heart, my fears, and my dreams. Let me find comfort in Your gaze and peace in Your presence. Thank You for loving me so personally. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Bold Declaration : I am seen, known, and loved by El Roi—my God who never misses a moment of my life.
God bless you abundantly.
